Cahira is a project that provides support to women who have been trafficked and enslaved to the sex industry.  It provides one-to-one support and offers outreach and community services.

Another strand of the service is that it provides supported accommodation to young women, from age 16, who have experienced significant trauma relating directly to childhood sexual abuse or exploitation, to sexual assault, and to other forms of sexual violence, including sexual exploitation.

Based in West Central Scotland, the ministry of Cahira offers hope, care and support to young women at risk, enabling them to regain their dignity and restoring their self-worth.  It seeks to do this by providing safe housing and offering to the women in its care opportunities for physical and psychological healing, rehabilitation, and protection.

Cahira seeks to provide a secure, healthy and comfortable home environment, where survivors of sexual exploitation can find a place of rest to recover from their traumatic experiences.
